“Our Cocktails and Taco Edition”
For this month’s intern meeting we chose to go to the Rosa Negra Bar, a Mexican restaurant with lots of tasty options for food and drinks. One of our interns had suggested to meet there and we were very excited to test it after hearing a lot of great things about it.
It’s Sí-internships’ tradition to meet up with all current interns in Barcelona once a month. The meeting is always a great opportunity to get to know each other and exchange all of the adventures everyone experiences in the city while enjoying some food and beverages. This month everyone already knew each other as we had all arrived in the beginning of last month. Since we were already familiar with each other the atmosphere was very relaxed right from the start.
The restaurant has two branches in Barcelona: one is located in the neighbourhood of El Raval and the other one at the border of the neighbourhoods of El Born and the Gothic Quarter. We chose to go to the latter one and when we arrived a mix of colourful, and a little corny, decorations awaited us. After waiting for a bit were able to get a cozy table for 7 in the upstairs part of the restaurant.
When we had a look at the menus, we were especially excited when we saw all of the cocktail options – margaritas, mojitos and daiquiris in all kinds of fruity flavours! Since we wanted to try them all everyone chose a different one to find out which one tasted the best. Food wise, everyone was very pleased too: some of us had tacos, others nachos or a salad.
Since it was one intern’s last week in Barcelona it was time for her to reminisce about everything she had experienced here and to draw a conclusion of her stay – a very positive one! (more on that in her interview which will be published here in a couple of weeks). Moreover, everyone else was busy making plans for the upcoming weekend to different destinations and attractions get to know Barcelona even more.
Thank you all for joining yesterday! We’re excited for next month’s intern meeting with all of the new interns arriving in March!
