This weekend (16th-18th February), the 7th annual light festival Llum BCN is going to take place. In the past, it has been on at the same time as the Santa Eulália festival and was located in the Old City of Barcelona. Yet, this year it’s taking place in Poblenou where you will find various art installations scattered all over the neighbourhood.
Compared to the last years it now offers twice the number of shows! Every day from 7pm onwards there will be shows and transformed spaces by internationally renowned artists and local talents. The streets will be lit up, as well as buildings and façades which will shine in form of experimental, innovative and sensory works combining the aspect of art, science and technology.
The organizers plan on illuminating the whole neighbourhood and have developed a diverse and entertaining programme tackling the challenge of transforming spaces that all have a very different nature. Make sure to check out the festival’s programme online to see which show is most appealing to you!
Happy weekend!!
